Scott Christie

Football: Scott Christie (1967) was a great halfback and defensive back. He was a very fast and strong runner who was difficult to bring down. In many cases he would carry defenders for 5 to 10 yards.

Wrestling: As Captain, Scott was a three year starter and was an outstanding wrestler all three years. He was three time district wrestling champion, two time regional champion and two time Bergen County Christmas Tourney Champion.

Scott placed 2nd in the state wrestling championship (1966). He was also chosen first team all league, 1964, 1965 and 1966.

Scott went on to become an outstanding wrestler at Lehigh University. At Lehigh he won the Eastern Wrestling Championship twice in 1969 and 1970. Scott placed third in the 1970 NCAA wrestling championship and was chosen as a member of the All American team.

Baseball: Scott was team Captain. He was a two year starter, played second base and was a great fielder. Scott’s speed enabled him to steal numerous bases. He was also an outstanding hitter with a great eye. He was chosen to first team all league (NBIL), 1965 and 1966.
