Patrick Buehler

Patrick Buehler was a standout in football and basketball for the Panthers and was voted as Male Athlete of the Year in 1981. In 1980 he led Glen Rock football to its first state Football championship since 1963 by quarterbacking a road win over Park Ridge. His outstanding gridiron play in the 1980 season earned him recognition as a First Team All County and as a Second Team All State Group 1 selection. Pat was selected as “Athlete of the Week” on three occasions by the Record and local newspapers and received Honorable Mention standing on the Record’s All Decade team.

An all around athlete and an excellent student, Pat also earned Second Team All Suburban honors in basketball as a guard and won the 1981 Bergen Community College High school Student-Athlete award. He was also an All League selection in baseball.

Pat’s football career continued at the University of Pennsylvania (joined by twin brother Warren) where he shone at wide receiver for three Ivy League championship teams. His college play led to playing time on the preseason rosters of both the New England Patriots of the NFL and the Montreal Concords of the CFL.

Pat was born in Bayonne, NJ and now resides in its sister city, Hermosa Beach, California. He works for DHL Global as a Regional Sales Manager.
