Mindy Feinberg Liebowitz

Mindy Feinberg was one of Glen Rock High School’s first female three-sport star athletes and is still recognized as the school’s most accomplished Softball Pitcher.

Mindy was the starting forward for four seasons on the school’s Soccer Team. As a junior, she was selected for the 2nd Team, All BPSL; and as a senior she was named to the 1st Team, All BPSL and Honorable Mention, All County. She started for the Basketball Team during her last two years. As a junior, she contributed to the team’s breakthrough 16-6 season and its participation in the State Championship rounds. As a senior, she was Co-Captain and was named to the 2nd Team, All BPSL and Honorable Mention, All County.

In softball, Mindy was the team’s pitcher for four years. As a freshman she was selected for the 2nd Team, All BPSL. As a sophomore, she was selected for the 1st Team, All BPSL and also received Honorable Mention, All County honors. In her Junior Year the team won its first BPSL Championship and then won the Group 1, State Sectional Championship behind Mindy’s pitching. That year she received the following honors: 1st Team, All BPSL; 1st Team, All County; and 1st Team, Group 1, All State. In her Senior Year, the Softball Team (with Mindy as Co-Captain) got to the State Sectional Championship Game before losing in extra innings. For the third year in a row, Mindy was named to the 1st Team, All BPSL. She also was selected for the 2nd Team, All County.

Mindy was 49-29 with a 2.24 ERA and recorded 419 strikeouts in 527 innings pitched for the Panthers. She batted .393 with an OBA of .473 and stole 40 bases in 51 attempts.

After graduating from Glen Rock, Mindy attended Muhlenberg College and was a four-year starting pitcher for that school’s Softball Team. She was recently inducted into Muhlenberg’s Hall of Fame for her accomplishments, including a 34-19 career won-loss record, a 2.11 ERA and a .413 batting average.

Mindy and her husband Alan live in Tenafly with their daughter Abby.
