Glenn Neumann

Glenn was named the 1969 Glen Rock High School Athlete of the Year. Glenn played three varsity sports while at Glen Rock High School: soccer, basketball, baseball – receiving varsity letters as a junior and senior in soccer and baseball and basketball as a senior.

He was captain of the team that won a Soccer state sectional title in 1968 before losing in the state final to the perennial powerhouse Lawrence High School. He was an All-league, All-County, and All-State soccer player.

Coach Cardy Gemma’s basketball team won the NBIL championship and reached the state quarter-finals with Glenn playing point guard. Glenn was selected All-League in basketball.

Glenn also lead off and played center field for Coach Zaisser’s baseball team, Glenn provided the spark that enabled the team to win the league title.

Glenn has three grown children – two daughters and a son – and lives in Maryland with his wife Dede Deneke (GRHS ’70). He maintains his competitive nature as a golfer.
