Gary Glass

Bill Carbone stated that Gary Glass would be the first player that he would choose for any team because he was talented but unselfish and he made everyone he played with better.

Soccer: Captain. Gary was a center halfback who was an outstanding goal scorer and a great defensive player. Gary was chosen to first team All League as well as first team All State. Gary went on to be a star soccer player at West Virginia University.

Basketball : Captain. Gary was an outstanding point guard during a very successful period of Glen Rock

Basketball. Glass ran the floor on a team of great scorers (including Steve Fisher and Bob Cook) and always drew the toughest defensive assignment. More than anything, Glass was known as a tenacious defender with quick feet and relentless hustle.

Baseball: Captain. A great fielder at third base with a rifle of an arm to throw runners out. He batted over .300 on a regular basis and was the main reason why Glen Rock won the league championship and advanced to the semi final in the state tournament.
