Bob Cook

Basketball: Bob Cook (1972) was team Captain and one of the most highly recruited athletes in Glen Rock High School history. Many Division 1 basketball coaches visited Glen Rock to recruit Bob in 1972. Bob was chosen as a High School All American basketball player (Center) by several sports agencies including the Associated Press, and by Parade magazine. He was Chosen first team all league (BPSL), 1971 and 1972. He was also All Bergen, 1971 and 1972 and All State, Newark Star Ledger. Bob led Glen Rock High School to the league championship in 1972. Glen Rock basketball lost to Vailsburg in the State semifinal that year.

Bob attended Duke University and was recruited by Duke Head Coach Bucky Watters.

Tennis: Bob was an excellent tennis player. He had a great serve due to his height and leverage and his ground strokes were superb.
